VICTIMS LIKELY WISHING THEY HADN’T SHOWERED WITH JERRY SANDUSKY EITHER

University Park, PA – No matter what he might think, no matter how many interviews he does, and no matter how much he protests his innocence, this is not going to just go away for Jerry Sandusky. Whether he likes it or not the controversy surrounding the former Penn State football coach is going to linger for the rest of his life.
He is trying though to abate the criticism at least a little bit even as more and more stories start to appear, stories creating a deeper and ever more disturbing picture of the man at the centre of the controversy. With new accusers coming forward -- at least ten -- and allegations that Sandusky had actually pimped out young boys to wealthy donors, the problems are only starting to pile on no matter what he does.
Trying to get his voice out there, though, Sandusky did go on the record with Bob Costas and denied ever having inappropriate relationships with young boys. Though admitted that he did spend a lot of time with young children, he denied having abused them and insisted that his only mistake was showering with the kids, perhaps the only thing with which his victims will agree with him on.
“I have horsed around with kids. I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them and I have touched their legs without intent of sexual contact,” Sandusky told Costas. “I shouldn't have showered with those kids.”
Sandusky also said that he ‘enjoys’ young people and loves to be around them, which is precisely what pedophiles tend to say.
While only one victim has spoken publicly, and he has denied anything inappropriate, at least 18 other people have been cited as possible victims or at the very least shower buddies.
“Showering with you son, or a nephew, or even on the extreme end a friends boy would be one thing but the sheer numbers and variety of boys with whom Sandusky has showered seems to indicate something other than just getting clean has gone on here,” said Scrape TV Crime analyst Willard Weston. “We won’t know until this starts to go to trial, and even then many of the details will be kept secret, but I can guess that at least a few of these boys are just as regretful about showering with Sandusky as he is with them.”
It’s not clear if any of the boys initiated the showers, the thigh-touching, or the naked horseplay, though such actions likely wouldn’t protect Sandusky from prosecution.
“I think one thing is very clear about this situation, perhaps the only thing in this whole mess that is absolutely clear. Penn State is really going to have change its policies on who can and who cannot use the shower facilities. I mean it is a private building and you have ex-employees and children using the resources which just doesn’t seem right, them using up all the hot water. Sex abuse can take a long time too which would just consume more resources to which they aren’t contributing,” continued Weston. “I doubt very much that will come up in the criminal or even civil court but you never know. Penn State has suffered a great deal in all of this so they may be looking for whatever payback they can get.”
Since the controversy erupted only authorized personnel have been allowed to use the showers, though that is a temporary measure.
