CANCER EASILY THE WORST DEVELOPMENT IN APPLE HISTORY AS STEVE JOBS DIES
October 5 2011
Palo Alto, CA – The death watch had been on for a long time for Steve Jobs. The Apple guru had waged a very private and public war with disease for the last few years, a fight he ended up losing today. Jobs, 56, died peacefully today in his home in Palo Alto.
Jobs of course was the brains behind Apple, the mega corporation that revolutionized home computing and, more recently, the music and telephone industries. His ideology vision made him a billionaire and really did change the world, and for his efforts Jobs was rewarded with cancer, resilient and deadly cancer.
Now, as the tributes start to flow in, the legacy of Jobs and the company he spent so much of his life dedicated to will undoubtedly become legend. Of course, that legacy was not always perfect and not always successful. Products like the Lisa, the Pippin, and more recently Apple TV were not great successes, all things that helped to tarnish an otherwise stellar reputation for the company and for Jobs. Now though it’s clear that cancer was easily the worst development in the long history of Steve Jobs and the company he founded.
“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Similar sentiments have already started to make the rounds as word of the death of Jobs starts to spread.
“The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come,” said sometime rival and sometime partner Bill Gates. Gates , it is believed, is totally healthy.
Jobs recently resigned his post as CEO of Apple Corp, stating that he was no longer able to fulfill his role on a daily basis, due it now appears to fatal cancer or some other ailment brought on by his battle with the disease.
“There is no doubt that Jobs will be remembered fondly by most people. Eventually his failures will fade even further into memory, largely because there won’t be any more of them, but for now the focus has to be on his successes,” said Scrape TV Technology analyst Ken Kevins. “Ultimately though I think the development of cancer will be regarded as his one great failure. All the others will fall away, but this one will stand the test of time.”
Jobs’ manner of death has not been officially confirmed but he had battled cancer on at least two prior occasions.
“As great as his products have been, people will always remember the failures. In time, the silliness of those things pass and in many ways show that he was indeed human and flawed just like anyone else, but unfortunately that lasses faire attitude also led to this particular development and this one certainly isn’t good,” continued Kevins. “Had he been a little more diligent, had he been less prone to making these types of errors, we could have had him around for a little longer. Unfortunately, ultimately, it was his failures that brought him down so young. This is easily the worst development in Apple history and hopefully it dies with him.”
Cancer was not announced at Apple’s recent press conference when the company announced the newest version of the iPhone.
