FACEBOOK DEVELOPING MUSIC SERVICE, PHONE, COMPUTERS AFTER ZUCKERBERG DINES WITH JOBS

Palo Alto, CA – Rivals in technology and business are nothing new. From the age of spice barons and through to today’s digital trade, competitors have been at each other’s throats trying to gain more market share and, if possible, destroy their 
competition. Those struggles will likely never go away and as the global market starts to become more integrated with access to more and more people, it’s likely that the battle will only heat up in the coming years.
Enter into that two titans of the modern age, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg. One is the old pro, the wizened patriarch and one is the young whiz kid whose future seems endless, but who also hasn’t learned as many tricks. While on the surface those two may seem an unlikely couple, a recent intimate meeting between the two seems to indicate otherwise. What the actual purpose of the meeting was remains a mystery right now with speculation ranging from advice on social networking to a potential buyout, what is clear is that the two companies have things that the other could use. That reality is even more clear now that with word that Facebook has started developing a music service, a phone, and potentially even computer hardware, something that will likely leave the elder titan a little red-faced, again.
“It was a couple of weeks ago, the two had dinner at Jobs’ house and then went for a late night stroll on the property. One would assume that it had to do with Ping, maybe Steve getting advice on how to run a social network, or it could have been something else,” said a tipster. “I doubt it was anything deeper than that, I believe they are both heterosexual and the scandal that would be created, especially because of the age difference, would be huge and detrimental. Whatever the content of the discussion it looks like Facebook now has a new direction and are starting to lurk into Apple’s territory.”
Apple famously had their idea for Windows appropriated by old friend Bill Gates in the 80’s.
“It’s very interesting to see these two together but it could mean nothing. It could simply be the old guard and new guard getting their heads together, seeing what each other is about. One would naturally assume that they were trying to get something out of each other but
there is no evidence to suggest that it was anything of the type,” said Scrape TV Technology analyst Ken Kevins. “However this news that Facebook is suddenly working on these new devices and tools that they hadn’t shown any interest in before is quite telling. I’m sure Zuckerberg was aware of things like iPhones and Macs previous to his meeting with Jobs but sometimes you just need that intellectual leap, a stimulus that pushes the innovation forward, and that appears to be what has happened.”
It’s not clear yet what name Facebook will give to their new hardware line.
“The concern with Facebook has always been their diversity of product, or rather their
lack of diversity. They have this one application which, while a world beater in its realm, is limited in its applications and while potentially compromise the company’s long term prospects for success,” continued Kevins. “The reality is that Facebook could go like MySpace. A new player could come on the field and steal their thunder and with that everything will erode. By diversifying their line-up and creating brand loyalty they will buffer themselves somewhat against that, though nothing is a magical cure. Now it appears they have a fresh direction and it’s all thanks to Steve Jobs. For all the talk of his gruff personality he really seems to be a generous guy.”
Zuckerberg has proactively denied stealing any ideas from Jobs or anyone else.
