FACEBOOK PRIVACY LISTED AS ONE OF THE LARGEST GLOBAL THREATS
May 31 2010
Washington, D.C. – In our modern interconnected world there are many threats to global stability. Rogue states such as North Korea and Iran are one major threat but are really just the most prominent. Because of the interconnectivity of all aspects of

modern societies, isolated incidents, such as the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, can spread economic and social turmoil throughout the world. Terrorism, loan defaults, natural disasters, and web outages are no longer isolated issues; they reverberate throughout the world and can lift up or break down everything we have built.
Even with all those threats omnipresent throughout the globe there are still new threats emerging, particularly as the connectivity between our once isolated worlds continues to grow. By providence of position, the United States has been charged with keeping those threats from growing in power to a level where they might cause real damage to the stability of the planet. Despite that, some of the greatest threats have been coming from inside the United States. It was the economic gamesmanship of American bankers that precipitated the global collapse in 2008 and now a new and potentially more ominous threat has started to emerge from within the borders of the mighty empire and at the rate it is growing there may be no stopping its rise.
“Facebook is no doubt very much a great success story from a business perspective and is the essence of what capitalism can bring to the world but with that comes inherent risk. We aren’t so concerned with the number of people using Facebook but this notion that they have essentially hooked people in and are no changing the rules, that is something that needs to be watched,” said an insider for the NSA. “Nearly half the population of the country is currently on Facebook and every move they make is being tracked. That is a very powerful tool that should be in limited hands, particularly with their haphazard approach to privacy.”
Major countries such as the U.K., France, Turkey, and Canada range from on third to more than half of the population connected to the website according to checkfacebook
“Normally this kind of access to personal information has been isolated to
governments and having it in the hands of a private corporation that has no real obligation, outside financial concerns, to use this information in a responsible way. Because their reach goes far beyond the United States and has overtaken many major countries with growth seemingly unlimited there’s little doubt that one of the next battlefronts for the free world could be in Palo Alto,” said Scrape TV Technology analyst Ken Kevins. “With nearly 500 million users around the world they are the third largest nation on the planet and every single person is interconnected with one another. They are not at that level yet but one day they may be able to just flip a switch and change the entire power balance of the globe.”
With growing revenue the company has started to establish facilities throughout the world giving rise to the fear that an attempt at global domination could be imminent.
“Facebook is giving a massive amount of people something they think they need, something they think they can’t live without, something they believe is essential to their well being. That is exactly what Adolf Hitler told the people of Germany and when they believed that he struck out at the world, something that may very happen behind Mark Zuckerberg,” continued Kevins. “Winning the hearts and minds of the people is a far more powerful weapon than any gun or tank and that is exactly what Facebook has done. With that they could be unstoppable and the people in charge need to be aware of that before it’s too late. We cannot allow appeasement for want of a few friend requests or wall posts, though I have to admit it’s nice getting those.”
Zuckerberg reportedly rebuffed efforts by the NSA to talk. The NSA does not have a Facebook account.
