PHONES LOADED WITH PORN RARELY GOING TO PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATE THEM

Denver, CO – With any new technology there is inherently some level of risk. The history of invention is filled with mishaps and downright dangerous events that would make most ordinary people whither, but invention has pressed onwards. For every 
success, there are hundreds of failures but it is not until technology reaches the hands of end users that the full impact can truly be decided. No amount of testing or trial can ever truly work out all the kinks and sometimes those issues can play themselves out, embarrassingly, in the public realm.
Even though cell phones have been around for decades it has been until the last few years that they have become truly ubiquitous, with everyone from pre-teens to grandmothers now equipped. Alongside that growth has been a massive increase in the capabilities of those phones in both their ability to phone, but also do other things. It is those other things that have helped phones step into a new realm but also what has helped to get them into trouble. A spate of reports of cell phones, some even sold as new, with questionable content has brought a lot of unwanted attention to the industry and caused issues for parent, most of whom are concerned that the porn on their children’s phone is simply going to the wrong people.
“When we got the phone we thought it was fine. We knew it was used but we thought that the store would have wiped everything clean and so we didn’t worry 
about giving it to our son. It was only we he came to us with the phone that we saw what was going,” said Marie Lopez of Denver. “There were these dirty messages and pictures all over the phone from the previous person. These aren’t the types of things that young children should be seeing and it is totally ridiculous that they would sell a phone like this. We thought they would have done their job but they didn’t and that is just wrong.”
Lopez returned the phone intended for her ten-year old son and purchased a new one that came free of adult material.
“We understand people’s concerns and we do our best to ensure that all material is wiped from the phones before selling them. We did not do anything like this on purpose and it was simply a mistake by one of our employees and we can assure people that this type of thing is not common,” said Albert Reyes, owner of the store that sold the phone to Lopez. “I can assure you that we are not in the business of selling pornographic material to minors. It would be totally silly to do such a thing as they would not fully understand what is going on. This type of material is meant for adults, people who can really appreciate it not for children who simply don’t know about these types of things.”
It’s not clear why the boy told his parents about the adult material instead of charging his friends to see it.
“There is always going to be a risk when buying something used. Many stores make an effort to ensure that the product is clean and well kept but not all stores do that and even those which do will occasionally make mistakes. Parents need to take reasonable steps to ensure that this type of thing doesn’t happen,” said Scrape TV Legal analyst Gabe Hawthorne. “Not doing so would be similar to feeding your children raw chicken and then blaming the supermarket because they got sick. That just doesn’t fly. However on the store’s end the responsibility has to be to ensure that pornography, no matter the type, be distributed to the appropriate people, particularly people who will appreciate it the most.”
The young boy, whose name was not mentioned, is likely considered a loser amongst his friends.
