JONBENET’S DAD FINALLY GETS AROUND TO INVESTIGATING HER MURDER

Boulder, CO – The greatest pain any parent can endure is undoubtedly the death of a child. The reasons for that are of course emotional; as a protector a parent feels to the need to guide their children through life for as long as they can, until they 
themselves pass into the great beyond, something that is taken away from death when a child predeceases them. There is too a biological imperative at work with the need to continue the species a hardwired piece of our species, something that is also lost with the death of a child.
One of the most famous cases of a deceased child is that of JonBenet Ramsey, the six-year old girl who was found murdered in the basement of her parents home Christmas day, 1996. The case brought international attention and intense police investigation, focus that has not yet resulted in an arrest or any serious suspects. The tragedy of JonBenet’s short life and the devastation it brought to her family is has become one of the saddest of tales in American history but if her father has his way all of that is about to change. After thirteen years of pain, heartache, and confusion John Ramsey has finally decided to take the investigation into his daughter’s death into his own hands and has begun looking for leads to who might have killed her.
“We are hoping to jog memories and in doing so, asking everyone to examine their consciences. We'd like them to share any doubts or information they have about someone they know who may have behaved strangely or acted out of character around the time of my daughter's murder,” said Ramsey in a statement. “We realize it has been a long time but we are asking people to please think back to that time and forward us any information you might have no matter how insignificant it might seem. Our family has been suffering a long time and now that I have a little free time I want to do what I can to end that suffering.”
Both John and his no deceased wife Patsy were the prime suspects in the case for many years until DNA evidence indicated that someone else had actually killed the girl.
“It’s been a very long time for the Ramsey family and for the people of America who have invested a lot of heartache into the search for the person who killed this beautiful little girl. It’s possible that they may never find the killer but the addition of John Ramsey to the investigators gives them the best chance yet,” said Scrape TV Crime analyst Willard Weston. “I mean he has little experience or training as an investigator but from what I’ve heard he has seen every episode of ‘Cold Case’ and nearly every episode of ‘Law and Order: SVU’ which gives him a lot of insight into the way criminal investigations are conducted as well as the workings of the criminal mind.”
Ramsey is also apparently a very big fan of authors such as James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman, and classic investigative authors such as Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle.
“It has been a long time since the murder and it’s curious that it has taken him so long to become involved in the investigation but later is better than never. Now perhaps they will be able to move forward and finally capture the maniac who did this to JonBenet,” continued Weston. “Hopefully after that John Ramsey will turn his attention to other major mysteries and crimes like Jimmy Hoffa and Jack the Ripper. I’m sure with his attention those cases will be solved in a jiffy.”
Ramsey has already apparently ruled himself out as a suspect.
