GROUND ZERO MOSQUE TURNS OUT TO BE SUPERMAN’S FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE

New York City, NY – Religion has always been, and likely will continue to be for the foreseeable future, at the centre of most of the world’s dramas. While wars and conflicts are most certainly fought over things like land, money, and power, religion 
has always been a motivating force for the masses, a tool that allows recruiters to bring soldiers into the fold and therefore wage their wars. Even without direct battles between religions themselves, religion is often a major behind the scenes player.
Today much of that conflict has been between Islamic extremists and Christian powers who wage their war utilizing virtually the same tools. The battle itself has little to do with religions at the centre but rather to do with the differing power positions of the major players, yet religion has become, as it often does, the focal point of the battle. Nowhere is that more evident than in the ongoing battle surrounding the Islamic centre in downtown Manhattan a few blocks from the former World Trade Center. Now, even with the battle still raging, the final plans have finally been revealed and they are, as it turns it, far from religious in nature. The newly unveiled design shows a towering white building that will likely house the Man of Steel, Superman.
“It is a remarkable design to be honest. Outside the religious and political concerns as a piece of architecture, it is simply stunning. This building, should it be constructed, would be one of the more remarkable buildings in a city already known for its remarkable buildings. One would hope that these other concerns would not interfere with the beauty of this building,” said one local architect. “It is a blend of the old world and the new world as well as being a remarkable piece. It is also clear that this cannot be a house of hate. Should Superman decide to inhabit this building it could very well become the centre for peace and tranquility in the world, something we cannot simply let pass because of politics.”
Superman has been popular in comics and other media since his first appearance in 1938.
“Superman has always been a symbol for everything that is good and right in the world. Not only a hero that can bring our world back from the brink, but an example of how good we humans can be even without super powers. Superman has always represented the best of us and that has been his appeal,” said Scrape TV Religion analyst Bertram Gas. “In many ways he is much like the major players at the heart of any religion, including figures such as Christ and Muhammad. He represents the best of humanity despite his very human failings, he represents something we would all like to be, something for us to aspire to. Unfortunately he is a fictional character, at least as far as we know, and so we are forced to struggle on without him.”
Warner Brothers pictures just recently announced a new movie version for the Man of Steel to be directed by Zack Snyder.
“This building certainly does look like it would be the perfect place for him to hide, to hide in plain sight just as Superman always does. While it’s unlikely that he will come simply because we have built him this home, however it doesn’t hurt to try. We can always use a little more love in the world,” continued Gas. “Superman is the light, the direction. It is ultimately up to us whether or not we follow that light or go back into the darkness. Whether or not he does arrive, hopefully the hope of his arrival can act as a beacon for all humanity and allow us to push towards peace and understanding. He’ll also protect us from maniacal land developers and that will help out as well.”
Wealthy New York landowner and industrialist Donald Trump has repeatedly offered to purchase the site to prevent the construction of the building for what now appears to be less than honest reasons.
