U.S. AUTHORITIES BELIEVE AL QAEDA PLANNING TO FLY PLANES INTO FOOD SUPPLY

December 22 2010

Washington, D.C. – It has become clear over the last few years that the threat by Al Qaeda and other affiliated terrorist organizations has simply not gone away. Despite wars, arrests, in depth intelligence gathering, and billions of dollars thrown at the september 11
issue, terrorists continue to threaten the borders of the United States and the borders of many other nations across the world. While no events on the scale of 9/11 have occurred since that day, it is perhaps only the diligence of those fighting rather than a lack of will that has allowed for such awesome events to remain in the past.

Nearing the anniversary of the attempted Christmas Day Detroit plane bombing U.S authorities have confirmed again that Al Qaeda operatives are still very much at work and planning attacks against civilian targets in their ongoing effort to bring terror home to the masses. In this situation, it appears that the organization is planning to attack the food supplies of the country, an attack that would no doubt seed chaos throughout much of the population. While officials put the odds of such an action far down on the list of possibilities, chatter has shown that a number of cells are still actively working towards such an end with plans as simple as poison and as elaborate as a series of plane crashes on the list of possible options.fancy restaurant

“We have obtained information that indicates a possible plot by Al Qaeda to target food at hotels and restaurants throughout the United States. At this stage we don’t have a specific target or time frame, just the intent but as we have seen in the past intent is often enough to cause concern,” said an intelligence insider. “The difficulty in launching a full scale offensive against large parts of the food infrastructure is high and would require a great deal of expertise and weaponry, something we believe the organization is largely lacking. There remains a possibility that they will again just start flying planes into things. They know that works.”

It’s not immediately clear how many planes would be required to disrupt the entire country’s food supply but is believed to be a lot.fancy food

“It is entirely possible, in the big picture, that Al Qaeda had only that one big event in their repertoire. While it’s clear that reaction to that event precluded a lot of possible follow ups, it isn’t clear if they had anything even planned. It’s entirely possible that they had made grand plans like 9/11 before and everything was thwarted and so when this was successful, they just didn’t know how to react,” said Scrape TV Terrorism analyst Doug Davids. “Pretty much everything they have tried since then has been unsuccessful and nothing they have done has been at even remotely the same level. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start to go back to one of their old successes, much like an actor going back to the part everyone expects him to play.”harrison ford

Harrison Ford is reportedly eager to return to the Indiana Jones series after a series of flops. Ford is also a licenced pilot.

“Look, they tried to expand, they’ve tried to do something different and it really hasn’t worked all that well. An attack on the food supply would be a tremendous act of terrorism but the level of detail required is something they have not shown a proclivity for in the past and there is no reason to assume they will be able to do it this time,” continued Davids. “So they go to the old fall back, just slamming a plane into things. The impact on food supplies would be nominal unless you had a lot of planes and a lot of pilots, but at least they will have gone back to what made them successful in the first place and that can bring all kinds of rewards.”

Al Qaeda operatives would not speak on the record about their plans.
