CONGRESS MULLING CUT TO FOOD SUPPLIES FOR MILLIONS

Washington, D.C. – Food has always been the force that has driven humanity. It is food that prompted us to suddenly stand up above the African Savannah two millions years ago, it is food that drove us to start migrating from those lands to Europe, 
Asia, and the Americas. Even today, as sophisticated as we are, food is what drives us. It keeps us nourished and healthy and does the same with the economic system. It is food that built the roads we drive on and the houses we live in. Food is the engine of humanity.
Unfortunately, for some it is not always easy to come by. With an ever increasing population across the planet stresses on food supplies are becoming an ever increasing threat to continued growth and to global peace. Not only are supplies becoming constrained, but the land on which to grow is also diminishing rapidly as our living needs increases, creating a spiral that will likely result in more than a few people going hungry. Already that happens in many places around the world, including the wealthiest and most advanced nation. Millions of people in the United States go to bed hungry every night and rely on public aid to keep their bellies full and a roof over their heads. Now though, under one of the most severe budget crises in history, the U.S. Congress is considering a restriction on those desperately needed food supplies, likely causing mass famine and warfare across huge portions of the United States.
“This is not a possibility, its likelihood. The realities of the economic situation make it nearly impossible to do anything other than cut back on supplies. We are talking 
about billions of dollars here and something needs to be cut,” said a congressional insider. “We don’t want to hurt ordinary working Americans but everyone is going to have to tighten their belts. Some more than others, some literally. I don’t think that these cuts will create a famine, there are too many safeties in place to prevent that from happening.”
It’s likely that cuts will be made in the next few weeks, though food supplies won’t be totally restricted.
“In a worst case scenario you would be looking at the end of the American empire and really the end of the country. You would see riots in poorer areas of the country, inner cities and rural areas, which would further tap resources and cause even more restrictions. Existing food supplies would be purloined by these rioters, causing food shortages for everyone else, and the cycle would descend into anarchy,” said Scrape TV Apocalypse analyst Seth Morris. “Unfortunately the people most vulnerable are the people who supply much of the food. Workers in restaurants and supermarkets, truck drivers, farmers, these are the people who will be hit first and if they abandon their jobs the entire ecosystem will break down, plunging the country into the end times.”
It’s believed likely that states providing major sources of food, like California, will receive portions no allocated to less useful states such as Missouri.
“No matter where this starts it will likely end badly. The only real solution is to reduce
the need. The reality is that in any complex system growth doesn’t work on a 1:1 ratio, the demand outgrows the supply in an exponential way, which is exactly what has happened in the U.S.,” continued Morris. “Consequently you have a delicate system that requires very little to tip it over to the other side. If you see states like Missouri, Delaware, or Oregon fall other states will start to collapse. The only solution is to reduce demand and eventually supply will sort itself out. It’s a hard solution but it may be the only one to be had, like cutting off a damaged limb.”
Officials in Congress have reportedly already started work on a massive underground bunker in preparation for complete anarchy, fully stocked with non-perishable goods.
