WOMAN TRYING TO BE WORLD’S FATTEST PERSON WELL ON HER WAY
August 20 2011
Casa Grande, AZ – Susanne Eman has a plan. She doesn’t want to be a doctor, or a lawyer, or visit London, or to win the lottery. Susanne Eman wants to be the fattest person in the world, and she’s well on her way to doing just that.
At 700 pounds, the 32-year old mother of two still has a long way to go to achieve her goal, which is unofficially 1600 pounds, but she is determined to make it happen and is doing so with the full support of her family.
“I'd love to find out if it's humanly possible to reach a ton. A previous record holder was 1,600lbs so I have to be at least that,” said Eman from her Casa Grande couch. “At my current rate of growth, I should be 115 stone by age 41 or 42.”
To achieve that weight, Eman consumes upwards of 20,000 calories a day, something she plans on increasing.
“It’s like a full day’s work. I go for a waddle and do stretches and exercises every day. My muscles need to hold up my weight so I need to stay strong,” continued Eman. She has arranged for her younger sister to take care of her children if her health becomes unstable or if they are no longer able to fit into her house.
“Massive weight gain is never a good idea. Fat, unto itself, is not necessarily a problem in reasonable quantities but over a certain weight, there are going to be serious medical complications. Perhaps not immediately, but in the future,” said Scrape TV
Health analyst Rebecca Phelps. “Diabetes and heart disease are the most obvious of those issues but other problems can occur. Massive weight usually means a sedentary lifestyle which causes a host of other problems.”
Eman says she is being monitored by a doctor and uses a variety of diagnostic devices to keep her health in check.
“If she is doing it properly it could work out okay, at least from a health standpoint. I mean no matter what, once she passes a half ton she is going to be a really fat slob who won’t be able to move around very much. Kind of just a mass of humanity, or like Jabba the Hut in Return of the Jedi,” continued Phelps. “At least she is doing this with purpose. So many people become overweight by accident and don’t go through proper medical assessments because of that. She is doing this in as healthy a way as possible.”
The official record holder is Jon Brower Minnoch who weighed 1400 pounds at his peak. Minnoch died at 42.
“Many people say they are going to do things and don’t do them. That unto itself can be a little unhealthy and cause stress, which itself can cause serious health problems. Not as serious as weighing a ton, but still bad things,” continued Phelps. “I mean she says she is going to do it and she seems well on her way to doing just that. Doing what we say is something few people can claim, luckily she isn’t one of them.”
Eman expects to be sliding around her house by Christmas.
