2012 VIRGINIA TECH SHOOTING COMES EARLY THIS YEAR

Blacksburg, VA – At least two people are dead, one a police officer, following a shooting at Virginia Tech University. The school has been locked down in the wake of the shooting which officials hadn’t expected for at least another few months. 
Generally the school schedules a series of shootings to coincide with the anniversary of the April 2007 assault that killed 32 people.
Officials have not yet commented on whether this shooting was an official part of that program or totally unrelated. As yet, the person behind the shooting has not been caught and it is unlikely that anyone will know what he was thinking until that happens.
“During the traffic stop. the officer was shot and killed. There were witnesses to this shooting. Witnesses reported to police the shooter fled on foot heading toward the Cage, a parking lot near Duck Pond Drive. At that parking lot, a second person was found. That person is also deceased,” said Virginia Tech spokesperson Mark Owczarski
Police offered a description of the suspect which did not match any of those on the shooting planning committee, suggesting that this may be an unrelated incident/tribute.
Unlike previous shootings the suspect is believed to be white. All previous shooters have been of Korean descent.
“We have had something special planned for next year, it being the fifth anniversary and all, and we hope that this doesn’t throw off those plans. We had had trouble with another group who felt that their celebration was better, but we are the official planners. We really hope it wasn’t them because if it is, well we will have no option but to go to the Dean,” said Michelle Watkins, head of the party planning committee. “We can’t have people going around shooting the place up without us being involved. We put a lot of planning into these things and when something like this happens, well it just ruins the surprise. We are not happy at all about this and we hope that the police give us a shot at him before hauling him away.”
Police officials have been in contact with the shooting planners in hopes of perhaps finding someone disgruntled with the plans set down by the committee, to no avail thus far.
It’s not clear if school-issued weapons were used in the shooting.
“It would really be a shame if this threw off the big plans for next year, but I mean you can look at a different way. It’s really like an early Christmas present for many of the people at the school. Frankly, it couldn’t have come at a better time with students just getting ready to leave for the winter break. Whoever he is, he just snuck it in under the wire,” said Scrape TV Mass Murder analyst Drake Webber. “I mean it doesn’t look like it’s going to be all that big of a deal, a few dead here and there, but still, something to take away for the holidays. Better than a fruitcake, I’ll tell you that.”
The school had been planning on sending bullets home with a number of students, though in a small bag rather than in their bodies.
