CASEY ANTHONY SHOPPING KILLER PRODUCTION DEAL

Los Angeles, CA – Not since O.J. Simpson has there been a murder case so notorious and so watched as the Casey Anthony prosecution. A mixture of morbid fascination and moral righteousness made that case personal for so many people, and when the verdict came down, caused levels of outrage not seen since that last infamous case.
For most observers, Anthony got away with murder. Certainly a little girl is dead and her mother acted oddly, but the jury apparently found that there simple wasn’t enough evidence to put her away. Still, like Simpson before her, Anthony has been convicted in the court of public opinion and, while not legally binding, can have very the same effect as being in prison.
Casey Anthony is hated across the whole country. She is a baby killer who got away with it. That is a noose that will never be slipped from her neck, and apparently Anthony is very clearly aware of that fact, choosing instead of trying to clear her name, to simply exploit it in a killer new production deal that could net her millions.
The centrepiece of the package is an interview with the pariah herself, carrying with it a ticket price of $750,000. Beyond that, Anthony has been working with producers on a TV movie and has pitched a book about her life. All in all, that package will likely net Anthony and her people a huge payday, and all for something that would have ended up costing her money, her daughter.
“It’s a pricey deal but one that would certainly bring a lot of attention. It would pay dividends to be sure. I mean people would tune in, if for no other reason than to hate her, and that is what the people behind the project are likely betting on,” said an insider for network that passed on the deal. “Someone will bite, she’s just too high profile to not and when they do it’s going to make her even more famous, but more importantly really rich. Way richer than she would have been if she hadn’t killed her daughter.”
O.J. Simpson also did a lot of interviews and wrote a book after his acquittal, but lost most of his money. Anthony had no money beforehand.
“We passed, but if the price and the details of the package come down a little bit maybe we’ll jump back in. A baby murderer is always going to bring a lot of attention, it’s just a matter of getting the best deal possible,” continued the insider. “I mean we don’t want to end up getting killed on the deal.”
It’s unclear if Anthony is willing to rework the arrangement.
“Committing any high profile crime is always going to bring attention, and attention usually means a lot more money than you would normally have. This may not be the best way to go about it, even though it was effective, but things don’t always pay out at this level,” said Scrape TV Media analyst Sarah Piper. “I would not recommend going and murdering your child and leaving it in a shallow grave. This is a once-in-a-lifetime type of murder and it really can’t be replicated. Anthony lucked out and she will reap the rewards eventually, even if people say they don’t like murdered kids.”
Anthony is apparently hoping to visit her daughter’s grave once she receives her windfall.
