DOLPHIN SOLDIERS FINALLY GET THEIR CHANCE TO SHINE IN IRAN CONFLICT
January 16 2012
Abu Dhabi, UAE – While officially the United States is looking to avoid a conflict with Iran, it is starting to look more and more like that just isn’t going to be a possibility. Despite all kinds of political and economic pressure being placed on Iran and the regime in place in that country, there seems to be no abatement of their nuclear program, in fact hardly even a ripple.
Even the country finally relenting on inspectors being allowed in the country is only a marginal victory, coming a few days after reports from the country that it has started enriching uranium. All of that has made the situation very tense and, despite the highest hopes and best intentions, the U.S. has continued to prepare as though a war is inevitable.
For the most part people in the region don’t want that, economic pundits don’t want that, in fact not many people want that but with the seeming inevitability of the event, people just need to get ready for the inevitable. Some groups though are not so bearish on the possibilities of conflict in the region, particularly the long-forgotten dolphin soldiers whose years of training have largely gone unnoticed but who will likely be deployed in the region should conflict arise, finally rewarding them for all their hard work.
“We’ve got dolphins. They are astounding in their ability to detect underwater objects. This is a great weapon in our arsenal that we know Iran or any other nation simply doesn’t have the ability to combat or compete with. It’s a huge strategic advantage for us,” said Admiral Tim Keating.
Iran, it is believed, does not have a dolphin division are any real answer for the fighting force aside from fishing nets of course.
Despite major advances since their last deployment in Iraq, the dolphin fighting force has not been equipped with lasers or massive spinning blades to help combat fishing nets.
Dolphin commanders did not comment on the possibility of their deployment in the region, partially for national security reasons and partially because they are dolphins.
“This is not the first time that this force will have been used in conflict, should it get to

that level which I think most people hope it won’t even still today. It will be, though, perhaps the most important time. Keeping the Strait of Hormuz open is essential to the war effort. If it were to close oil prices would rise and that would put pressure to end the conflict as soon as possible and likely erode support. The oil must flow and dolphins can help that,” said Scrape TV Military analyst Michael Kent. “It will also be a great way for the force to show off its abilities, to finally get a chance to shine. Obviously, soldiers don’t seek glory but there is still pride in the work you do and these dolphins have worked very hard indeed. Hopefully if war does break out they really do get a chance to shine. I’ve seen them in action and can tell you that they deserve a chance to show off what they can do.”
There are no plans yet to add dolphins as their own unique division of the military. As of now, they remain under the purview of the Navy.
