MICHAEL MOORE SUPPORTING OCCUPY MOVEMENTS FROM MANSION HQ

November 13 2011

Torch Lake, MI – In recent years, say the last two decades, there has been no greater advocate for the little people than Michael Moore. No artist, it could be argued, has ever used his influence so directly to push for the common man. While many artists in the past have certainly spoken for the common man, spoken to Him, none have been so direct and so rebellious against the system that so often keeps that common man down.michael moore america

In the process of doing that, Michael Moore has become rich. His movies all hold a place amongst the highest grossing documentaries of all time and his other media ventures, owing to that high profile, have all added to his wealth. Moore, though, unlike many others who strike it rich and simply move on, has maintained his connection with the ordinary man, best evidenced by his repeated appearances at the ‘Occupy’ movements across the country.

Moore, though, is wealthy and powerful and that also makes him a very busy man and though he has made those showings – in both New York and Oakland – it is simply not something he can do forever, at least in person. Moore though hasn’t simply put in appearances and then forgotten the little people, instead he has decided to continue to help the movement, directing activity from his multi-million dollar mansion which has quickly become ‘Occupy HQ’.michael moore suit

“Mike is still very much involved with this movement. This is his kind of thing, obviously, and so he feels a very strong attachment to the entire process and of course the entire spirit of protest itself. It is really one of the most engaging things he has been a part of in a long, long time and he plans to continue for as long as the people want to continue,” said a spokesperson for the Occupy Headquarters. “Unfortunately because of his schedule, Michael is not able to spend as much time at the actual protests as he would like. However he has a number of staff that he has dedicated to supporting the movement, both in fund raising and in Facebook ‘Likes’ on a regular basis.”

Moore himself is not at the home but rather in his Manhattan home, something he prefers in order to be closer to the action.

Moore does apparently spend about 99% of his free summer time at the Torch Lake mansion.michael moore happy

“It really is a tribute to Moore himself that despite all the wealth and fame he has gained over the years that he has not forgotten the little people. That he is actually putting himself on the line on a regular basis and using his own resources to help people that need it,” said Scrape TV American analyst Dave Davidson. “He has all these incredible resources and that, no doubt, is helping to fuel the movement even more. One can only imagined what a person like Mother Teresa would have been able to do with this kind of power.”

Some critics have admonished Moore for holding up in his mansion while others suffer on the streets, but his spokesperson did note that he did enter Oakland, something most wealthy people would never even consider.
