POLICE FATALITIES SPIKE AS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY STARTS TO UNRAVEL
December 29 2011
Washington, D.C. – Police are the principle organizing force of any society. They are the mechanism, both active and passive, that keeps us from anarchy. For most people that deep, profound value is often overlooked, especially when being stopped for a traffic ticket, or just generally being hassled by the man, but police serve a much deeper purpose than stopping speeders.
Because they are on the forefront of that battle between order and anarchy, they are also often the victims of the chaos. Police are, unfortunately, victims of the violence they try to prevent and in 2011, those numbers went up from the previous year.
In all, 173 officers were killed across the country, up 13 percent from 2010 and even more dramatically from 2009 when only 122 officer were killed in the line of duty. While still far, far from the peak levels in the 1970’s, the sudden increase has many observers concerned that deaths show that respect for law and order may be on the way out, if it isn’t gone already, and that the entire country may be on the verge of collapsing.
"I'm very troubled that these drastic budget cuts have put our officers at a grave risks. Our officers are facing a more brazen cold-blooded element and fighting a war on terror, and we're giving them less training and less equipment they need to do their jobs safely,” said Craig Floyd, head of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Others, including Attorney General Eric Holder, have also shown disgust at the numbers. There’s no clear data yet on how many officers were killed as by the weapons Holder has been handing out.
Thus far, no cities have fallen into complete and total anarchy but police insiders believe that if things don’t change, that could be coming soon.
“We have many violent cities and violent people within them. That is not going to change for the better without more money allocated to police. It will only get worse, people will get used to crime and violence and that will cause anarchy in the streets eventually. Fire, panic, rape, and murder will be common place before long,” said a insider with the Department of Justice. “The country is headed in that direction and if we don’t arrest it not, so-to-speak, things will only get worse. The country will collapse, democracy will collapse, and it could very well lead to the end of humanity.”
Economic and social disorder are expected, which will eventually lead to mass starvation, plague, and likely nuclear devastation.
“We are seeing it more and more on the streets. Many cities like D.C., Los Angeles, and even smaller places like Cleveland and Kansas City are already on the verge and they are just the start,” continued the insider. “Kansas City in particular I think. The Kansas side, not the Missouri side. That’s where the end of humanity is starting and all because we can’t pay enough to keep cops safe. Such a tragic end for our species.”
A surprise thermonuclear detonation above Kansas City has been suggested to try and stop the chaso from spreading, though it’s not clear if there’s money in the budget to make that work. Robocops have also been suggested, but again dollars.
