SIMON WIESENTHAL CENTER NOW PROVIDING REFUGE FOR EX-NAZIS

December 26 2011

Los Angeles, CA – Never in history have crimes in war been so actively pursued, so diligently fought about, than those committed in the Second World War. In wars before and wars since payback has been had, no two ways around that, but never so late into history and never with such small players in the process as has been done in the hunt for Nazis.simon wiesenthal

In the nearly seventy years since the end of the war, Nazi hunters have tracked down perpetrators of various crimes all over the world and, for the most part, brought them to justice. Some have escaped prosecution, whether through ill health or the logistics of extracting them from the countries where they are hiding, but one way or another the Nazis have all been found and forced to face up to their actions.

Well, mostly. At least one documented player in the Nazi movement, former SS Lieutenant Colonel Bernhard Frank, has been found and researched but has not faced prosecution. In fact according to the man who did most of the work to bring him to justice, not only is he not being charged, he is actually being protected by of all people the Simon Wiesenthal Center who apparently feel that some Nazis are worth giving protection, despite being responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews.

“We do not feel that this individual falls under the description of our work. He was little more than a secretary and not someone actually involved in the orchestration of killings. This is not the type of target on which we focus and we do not wish to pursue him any further,” said the Center in statement.

Meanwhile the man who hunted down Frank has sued the center, saying that they attempted to discredit him by protecting the Nazi butcher.nazis

“We are certain that the center is making an active effort to discredit our client for reasons known only to them and, in doing so, they are willing to let this dastardly Nazi killer free in the world. It is a travesty and something which should not be tolerated, leaving this man free after the acts he committed and free to possibly kill again,” said a spokesperson for Mark Gould, the begrudged Nazi hunter.

It’s believed that among the many crimes Frank committed during his time with the SS were efficient filing and laboriously accurate transcribing of dictated letters.

It’s not clear if Frank has continued with any of that work since the end of the war or, while free, if he will continue to do so in the future despite is advanced age.

“There has to be a time when limits are reached. Eventually, all the Nazis will either be john demjanjuk
captured or dead and the Nazi hunters are going to have to move on. It appears, at least superficially, that that is what the Wiesenthal Center is trying to do. I doubt very much that they are trying to protect this particular Nazi, to hide him from prosecution, unless of course they just don’t like Gould more than they don’t like Nazis, which would be a feat,” said Scrape TV Mass Murder analyst Drake Webber. “The only people who like Nazis, generally, are other Nazis and no one would think that of the people behind the Wiesenthal Center. That is unless this guy really is a jerk, in which case it would be perfectly valid, hiding a Nazi, protecting one, just to get back at him. But he’d have to really be a jerk to be worse than a Nazi.”

Gould reportedly filled out and filed the lawsuit papers by himself, something he is very, very good at.
