U.S. GOVERMENT SAYS DEADLY ATTACK ON PAKISTANI SOLDIERS WAS A GOOF

December 22 2011

Washington, D.C. – After an investigation into the killing of 24 Pakistani soldiers last month by NATO planes, the United States government has found that mistakes were made, mostly on the part of the dead Pakistanis.pakistan combing

That event sparked an ongoing crisis between the two allies and was roundly criticized across the world and prompted the closure of essential supply route into Afghanistan by Pakistan. Now though, with the investigation concluded, relations are expected to get back to normal, though hopefully without so many mistakes on both sides.

“The report says we recognize we made mistakes, and that mistakes were also made by the Pakistanis. We have a lot of work to do to improve coordination, and we've already implemented steps to do that,” a NATO official told Fox News on the condition of anonymity.

It’s not clear, if the Pakistani government has read the report or if they would be willing to accept their role in the killing of their soldiers by simply admitting that they too had made mistakes.nato planes

No NATO or U.S. soldiers were killed in the attack, though insiders have indicated that the pilots who dropped the bombs have been hurt emotionally. One also bruised his wrist shortly after launching the attack. He is just now getting back to normal.

“This report is probably not going to do a whole lot to quell Pakistani anger, at least not on the streets. Blaming dead people for being dead is generally not looked upon kindly in Pakistan. I mean it’s downright hated in the United States, but in that realm Pakistan and the U.S. aren’t far off. People don’t like to blame the victims, unless they’re women of course,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “Hopefully the findings do eventually lead to a better understanding of the two sides, hopefully it leads to better cooperation so that the U.S. won’t have to kill anymore Pakistanis and blame them for getting in the way. I mean the best way to avoid findings of this nature is really to just avoid the situation that caused it in the first place.”

It’s believed that the last mistake the soldiers made before being killed was not getting out of the way.

“Hopefully, in the long term, this prevents more deaths. I don’t know if the relationship between the two countries could survive another mass killing like this pakistan soldiers
again. Generally, strong military relationships are built on killing the enemy, not each other, and it almost really doesn’t matter whose fault it is, what matters is that you try to resolve the issue at hand,” continued Hander. “No one likes to be killed and it’s much, much worse when you are the person responsible for your own death. No one wants to be that guy, that guy who caused himself to be killed and cause an international incident. If nothing else, hopefully Pakistani soldiers learn to avoid bombs and missiles coming right at them. If nothing else is gained out of this tragedy, at least they will have that. Mistake happen but it’s how we react to them that really counts.”

The U.S. has apparently already fixed all the mistakes it made in the incident.
